文献管理软件Mendeley的缺陷（更正，增补）
我一直都用着文献管理软件Mendeley，还在。但我最近更新电脑，发现没有办法把整个文献库（几千个条目，包括论文和书籍）移到新的电脑上。我的文献库有很多条目有链接，链接到硬盘里的对应的PDF文件。移到新电脑后这些链接全部无效，即使我把那些PDF文件搬到新电脑完全一样路径的文件夹也没用。当然，我可以一个个地打开那些条目，重新建立那些链接。但我觉得这不是很好的解决方法。以后再要换新电脑怎么办？
另一个办法是在的网站上买10 GB的云存贮，把旧电脑的PDF文件上传，然后用新电脑从云存储上下载。无奈在上传过程中总是出错，只上传了一部分就停下来了。费了钱，还是没解决问题。
从网上搜索，看到很多Mendeley用户都有同样的问题，但都没有解决办法，即便是Mendeley公司的人出来解答，也是给出模棱两可的答案。
Mendeley的另一个缺陷：你的文献的数据库是跟Mendeley网同步的。如果你在电脑上操作错误，你没有办法用电脑的备份恢复原样，因为Mendeley一打开，就马上跟网上同步，而网上你的数据库只有现在版本，而没有过去版本。总的感觉是，你给绑死了。
Mendeley虽然免费，却不是开源的。Mendeley公司是由三个德国的博士生创办的，原来也许还有着为人民服务的满腔热情，但后来被科学出版的大头Elsevier收购了。Elsevier当然以盈利为目的的。
我现在正在寻找开源的、开放格式的文献管理软件，代替Mendeley。并不光是为了省钱，而是为了不被别人的商业利益牵着鼻子走。我正在比较两个开源软件：Zotero 和 Docear。
前两天写的，有点冤枉Mendeley。我说的两个缺陷，后来都找到解决办法，就是比较费时间。
我也试用zotero和Docear，发现都没有Mendeley好用。Mendeley用起来比较简单，方便。最主要的是：Mendeley从PDF文件提取题目、作者，功能很强，非Zotero可比。
所以，我还是继续使用Mendeley，并依然推荐它。
