other、another、the other的区别：1. other作形容词，通常用在单数或复数名词的前面，意为&别的；其他的；另外的&。例如： I'll come again some other day. 我改日再来。 2. the other表示已知的两个（或两部分）人或事物中，特指的&另一个&或&另一些&，其后可跟单数或复数名词。例如： I have two brothers. One is a doctor, the other is a teacher. 我有两个兄弟。一位是医生，另一位是教师。 3. another泛指不定数中（三者或三者以上）的&另一个&。another前面不能用定冠词the，它作为限定词（定语）通常与单数名词连用，但是它后面可以跟few或基数词的复数名词。例如： This glass is broken, get me another please. 这只玻璃杯坏了，请给我再拿一个。 I'll stay here in another few days. 我要在这儿再呆几天。 注意：other和another都可以用来修饰数词，表示&另外的；附加的&，但是结构不同。other的位置是&数词+other+复数名词&，相当于more的用法；而another则是&another+数词+复数名词&。例如： 今天下午我又写了两封信。 I wrote another two letters this afternoon. =I wrote two other letters this afternoon.

童鞋们知道，英语中another 与the other都可以表示&另一个&。那么another与other到底有何区别？请听小编细细道来&&
1. 不定代词other相当于名词或形容词,可以在句中作主语、宾语、定语等。相当于名词时,有复数形式others。
作主语：He has two toys. One is for me, the other is for himself.
作宾语：I have two pictures. You have seen one. Now I will show you the other.
作定语：There are other ways of helping him out of difficulty.
2. 不定代词another是由an和other构成，由此可以判定它只能代替或修饰可数的单数名词，前面不再用冠词。可以在句中作主语、宾语、表语和定语。
作主语：One (girl) wanted to read,&and another&wanted to watch TV.&
作宾语：Please give me another.
作表语：She is a fool, and her sister is another.
作定语：Would you like another cup of coffee?
3. 对比other与another
（1）the other 用于两者中的另一个，another 指三者以上中的另一个：
&&& He has two toys. One is for me, the other is for himself.&&&&
&&& All these are not good.&Show me another, please.
（2）another 还有 &再&&& 的意思，other 有 &另外& 的含义：
&&& Have another cup of coffee, please. &再喝一杯咖啡吧！
&&&&The girl&is much cleverer than other three. 这女孩比另外三个都聪明。
（3）修饰数词的结构不同：数词+other+复数名词= another+数词+复数名词：
&&& 这周我多看了两本书。
&&&&I read two more books this week. =I read two more books this week.
（4）one another&与&each other：两者均表示&彼此&、&互相&。&
&&& 一般认为，each other&用于两者间，one another&用于三者或以上，但在现代英语中，两者常可换用。
&&&&We should always help each other.
&&&&They don&t agree with one another.
另外，童鞋们还要注意，注意：other表泛指，the other 表特指，与其复数others和the others 同理。

(1) another与the other的区别如下：
another是指不确定数目中的“另一个”，常常与one搭配使用。如：
I don't like this one, show me another. 我不喜欢这个，给我看看另一个。
the other则用于指两个之中的“另一个”，常常与one搭配使用。如：
He has a book in one hand, and a pen in the other. 他一只手拿着一本书，另一只手拿着一支笔。
(2) other与others的区别如下：
other的意思为“其他的；另一个；其余的”。需要注意的是：other后既可接单数名词（other前必须有一个定语，如the, any, one, some），也可接复数名词，亦可用作代词。如：
You may continue on the other side of the paper. 你可以在纸的背面接着写。
others的意思是“其他的人或物”，是复数形式，只能用作代词，可被some, any, all修饰。如：
Only one foreigner has ever made a perfect score on that test. All others have made at least one error. 只有一个外国人在那次考试中得了满分，其余的至少犯了一个错误。
