　　Qing Ming is popularly associated with Jie Zi Zhui, who lived in Shanxi province in 600 B.C. Legend has it that Jie saved his starving lord's life by serving a piece of his own leg. When the lord succeeded in becoming the ruler of a small principality, he invited his faithful follower to join him. However, Jie declined his invitation, preferring to lead a hermit's life with his mother in the mountains.
　　Believing that he could force Jie out by burning the mountain, the lord ordered his men to set the forest on fire. To his consternation, Jie chose to remain where he was and was burnt to death. To commemorate Jie, the lord ordered all fires in every home to be put out on the anniversary of Jie's death. Thus began the &cold food feast&, a day when no food could be cooked since no fire could be lit.ww
　　The &cold food& festival occurs on the eve of Qing Ming and is often considered as part of the Qing Ming festival. As time passes, the Qing Ming festival replaced the &cold food& festival. 　　People love to fly kites during the Qingming Festival. Kite flying is actually not limited to the Qingming Festival. Its uniqueness lies in that people fly kites not during the day, but also at night. A string of little lanterns tied onto the kite or the thread look like shining stars, and therefore, are called &god's lanterns.&
　　The Qingming Festival is also a time to plant trees, for the survival rate of saplings is high and trees grow fast later. In the past, the Qingming Festival was called &Arbor Day&. But since 1979, &Arbor Day& was settled as March 12 according to the Gregorian calendar.

Life is a long journey like a sealed book which is full of unknown and indeterminacy. In this journey you decide the direction and hold on it. However, sometimes life can place a stumbling block in your way. At this moment, you need courage to keep going and never give up.
There goes a saying that “It doesn’t take guts to quit. Anyone can quit. And most people do --- on their dreams and on themselves. It ’s always easier to quit than to hold on. ” Definitely, confronted with difficulty, it is always easier to give up than to hold on. But, constant effort yields sure success. If you pursue your goals with courage of never giving up, you will succeed in whatever endeavor you take on. Life is just like farming, and what you can reap depends a lot on your sowing and dedication. Therefore, keep going forward, even in the toughest time, never give up and take courage. This courage determines you a winner or a loser.

On Catchwords
Catchwords are novel descriptions, which enjoy great popularity among the public and possess the ability of spreading. They can be applied to depict everything, including mindset, state, and people. Therefore, increasingly more catchwords have been appearing at the speed far faster than we expect.
There has always been great dispute as for the popularity of catchwords. For some people, catchwords reflect the development of language and information technology, which stands for the improvement
while for others, they are of the opinions that catchwords are vulgar and momentary, which can have no positive effect on the society.
