　　1．形象比较
　　例如，glass(玻璃杯)和grass(草地)两个词的词形相近，很容易混淆。记忆时可以对两个单词中不同的字母“r”和“l”加以联想。可以把“r”形象地描绘成小草的样子，那么有“r”的grass就是“草地”的意思，这样就能与glass区分开了。
　　2．画图记忆
　　例如，学习eye这个词时可以画个圆圈当作一张脸，把单词eye放进去，两个“e”看做两只眼睛，把“y”当成鼻子。通过想像，一张脸活灵活现地展现在眼前，对eye一词的印象就深刻了。
　　3．变换字母
　　通过变换字母的方式，可以在对同形词的辨别中学到许多单词。
　　例如：pull(拉)--bull(公牛)--gull(海鸥)；band(带子)--bend(弯曲)--bund(堤岸)；air(空气)--aim(目标)一aid(帮助)；mouth(嘴)一month(月)一mouse(老鼠)。
　　4．添加字母
　　例如，记忆“日记”一词时，先从“日、天”引入，写出d a y，而在空白处添加上“i”和“r”就成了“diary”。又如，学习boil(沸腾)一词时，可以先写出oil(油)，试想像“油”加热后的情形，就不难掌握boil这个词了。
　　5．删节字母
　　这种方法是将一个单词前面的字母逐渐缩减变成另外一个词。
　　例如，class(班级)去掉第一个字母后变成lass(少女，情人)，去掉第二个字母又成了另外一个单词ass(傻瓜)。
　　6．谐音联系
　　将英、汉两种语言的发音相似之处进行对比来加深记忆。
　　例如，sand(沙)的发音跟汉语中的“散的”近似，可以想象人们常说的“一盘散沙”。通过谐音联想也能记住这个词。
　　7．逆向思维
　　这些词记不住时，不妨从某些单词的拼写中得到启发，也就是将一个难记的词逆向拼成一个易记的词。
　　例如，won(“获胜”的过去式)一now(现在)等。
　　8．分解记忆
　　学生在记忆单词时常容易把元音字母的位置弄错，避免这种错误的办法是把单词分解开来记忆。
　　如watermelon一词，记忆时按water和melon分开去记。
　　又如，millionaire这个词记忆时可分成million+air+e三部分去记，词中的air(空气)我们比较熟悉，最后再加上字母“e”，就不会把词尾中的“a”和“e”记混了。
　　9．寓意其中
　　从词形上赋予单词一定的含义，就比较容易记忆了。
　　例如，news(新闻，消息)一词则是由north，east，west，south四个词演变过来的。
　　相传西方早期的报纸上画有一个地球，上面标着N、E、W、S四个方向，后来把代表方向的四个词的第一个字母组合在一起构成news这个词，寓意是消息来自北、东、西、南四方。
　　10．借助故事
　　英语中有些词与一定的历史故事或古代神话传说有关，了解它们的不同来源，能够扩大知识面，加深对词汇的记忆。
　　例如，island这个词最初没有“s”这个字母，曾有某个国王书写时出现了笔误，多加了个“S”，多少年来就将错就错，一直沿用下来。
　　又如，museum(博物馆)一词就跟古希腊神话有关。相传古代埃及人建造了第一个收藏文物的博物馆，以希腊女神缪斯(Muse)命名，后来在欧洲许多语言演变的过程中表示“博物馆”的词始终都用museum。
　　接下来，总结了一些英语单词记忆前缀，希望对同学们记单词有所帮助！
　　一．表示否定的前缀
　　1．dis－加在名词、形容词，动词之前
　　disadvantage（缺点），dishonorable（不光彩的），disagree（不同意）
　　2．in-加在形容词，名词之前
　　incorrect（不正确的），inability（无能，无力），inaccurate（不准确的）
　　3．im-加在字母m,b,p之前
　　impossible（不顺能的），impolite（不礼貌的），impudence（厚颜无耻）
　　4．il-加在以l开头的词前

　　5．ir-加在以r开头的词前
