Inside Jaraan Cornell
I started playing basketball: in the third grade because my older brother Rashaan was already playing.
One thing that I wish people knew about me but don't: I'm a really nice guy, so come and "speak."
Person I would most like to meet: Michael Jordan and Mickael Jackson because they are both great entertainers and I have many questions.
When I'm not playing basketball, I like to: talk on the phone.
The best player I ever played against: Glenn Robinson.
The toughest arena I ever played in: The United Center in Chicago because I tend to not shoot well in there.
The first time I walked into Mackey Arena for a game: my eyes lit up!!
Biggest athletic thrill: winning the state championship ... something only few ever achieve.
Since I've been at Purdue, I've learned: to work hard and expect nothing.
Pre-game ritual: listen to rap music while getting ready to come into the arena.
The first time I met Coach Keady: I thought he was a very kind man!
The thing about Coach Keady that impresses me: he's already a great coach but he doesn't think so.
Preseason team MVP: it'll be a surprise!!
