Storwize® V7000 introduces new, next generation 1.2 TB and 4 TB drive options, now offering the largest capacities available from IBM .
The next generation 1.2 TB 10,000 rpm, 2.5-inch small form factor (SFF) drive combines higher capacity with higher performance. Designed for the 24-bay SFF enclosures, machine type 2076 models 124, 224, and 324, an enclosure with 24 1.2 TB drives deliver a raw capacity of up to 28.8 TB. A Storwize V7000 system with a full 10 enclosures will have up to 288 TB per system, and a 4-way Storwize V7000 enclosure provides up to 1.152 Petabytes of raw data capacity.
The 4 TB NearLine SAS (NLS) HDD is the largest capacity offered by IBM . Designed for the large form factor (LFF) enclosures, 2076 models 112, 212, 312, the 12 bays can provide up to 48 TB of raw data capacity per enclosure, up to 480 TB per Storwize V7000 system, and up to 1.92 Petabytes in a 4-way Storwize V7000 cluster.

Storwize V7000 new drive options
Storwize V7000 now offers new Nearline SAS drives in 4 TB capacities. The new 7,200 rpm 3.5 inch LFF drive options are designed for the 12-bay LFF enclosures, machine type 2076 models 112, 212, and 312. The enclosures are now capable of up to 48 TB of raw disk capacity per enclosure.
The next-generation 1.2 TB 10,000 rpm, 2.5 inch SFF drive combines higher capacity with higher performance. Designed for the 2076 models 124, 224, and 324 enclosures with twenty-four 1.2 TB drives, delivering a raw capacity of up to 28.8 TB.

1.2 TB 6Gb SAS 2.5-inch SFF HDD (feature number 3542): This is an optional feature for a single SFF 1.2 TB 6Gb 2.5-inch disk drive with 10k RPM speed to be installed inside either a 24-bay IBM
Storwize V7000 Control Enclosure ( or ) or a 24-bay IBM
Storwize V7000 Expansion Enclosure (). This feature may be ordered during an initial plant order or as a field (MES) order in any quantity from 1 up to the 24 total intermixed drives allowed within the enclosure.
4 TB 6Gb NL-SAS 3.5-inch LFF HDD (feature number 3304): This is an optional feature for a single LFF 4 TB 6Gb 3.5-inch disk drive with 7,200 RPM speed to be installed inside either a 12-bay IBM
Storwize V7000 Control Enclosure ( or ) or a 12-bay IBM

intensifier tubes by categories based on Figure of Merit (FOM). FOM is
determined by multiplying the image tube’s center resolution by its
Signal/Noise ratio. The resulting values categorize image tubes, and
ultimately system performance, into defined levels of performance which are
set by the U.S. Department of State in dealing with a broad range of customers
worldwide.
L-3 EOS ALPHA Series designation is the basic
GEN III Image Tube configured to meet Department of State (DoS) guideline for
GEN III export to group 1 or 2 NATO customers. Alpha Series Image Tubes are
built in both inverter configuration and non-inverter configuration to fit all
18 mm systems.
L-3 EOS GAMMA Series designation is the GEN III
Image Tube configured to meet minimum Department of State (DoS) and Department
of Defense (DoD) guideline for GEN III export. Gamma Series Image Tubes are
built in both inverter configuration and non-inverter configuration to fit all
18 mm systems.
L-3 EOS DELTA Series designation GEN III Image
Tube are specially constructed to comply with DoS and DoD guideline for GEN
III export. Delta Series Image Tubes are built in both inverter configuration
and non-inverter configuration to fit all 18 mm systems.
OMEGA Series designation GEN III Image
Tube are specially constructed for integrated day/night operations for the
domestic market that includes U.S. Law Enforcement and Government agencies.
The Omega series tubes are export restricted and are sold only to U.S. end
users. Omega Series Image Tubes are built in both inverter configuration and
non-inverter configuration to fit most 18 mm systems.
INFINITY Series Image Tube sets the
standard for tube performance. Constructed for integrated day/night
operations, the Infinity Series Tubes offer higher signal-to -noise ratio and
excellent performance at both high and low light levels compared to standard
GEN III Image Tubes. The Infinity Series are export restricted and are sold
only to U.S. end users. Infinity Series Image Tubes are built in both inverter
configuration and non-inverter configuration to fit most 18 mm systems.
