The officials in the White House and CIA (中央情报局)are rejecting Edward Snowden's beg for mercy. “Mr. Snowden has been against the U.S. law,” White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer said on Sunday about the former systems analyst who has turned fugitive (逃亡者) in Russia. “He should return to the US and face the justice and judgment, and there is no possibility for mercy and forgiveness.”
However, many people support Snowden and a sociology professor Svallfors in Sweden has recommended Snowden for the Nobel Peace Prize for his “heroic effort at great personal cost” disclosing the spying conducted by theNational Security Agency of United States. He wrote, “Because of his bravery, Snowden helped to make the world a little bit better and safer”.
It may be too late for Snowden to receive the award this year, but the nomination should be taken seriously by the Nobel Prize committee for next year’s prize. If Snowden is awarded the prize in 2014, he would be the youngest Nobel Peace Winner in the history of the prize.【写作内容】

a little bit和a bit是同义的.a little bit与a little两个都能做为程度副词词组来用.修饰形容词,副词,动词和比较级结构.这时两者是可以互换的.意思是：“稍微,一点”如：He is a little bit / a bit / a little taller than me.他比我高一点.其次是这两个还可以用做为形容词词组,修饰名词,a little bit/ a bit后面要接of,再接名词,而a little是直接修饰名词的.如：He has a little bit / a bit of money.He has a little money.

not a bit和not a little 的意思正好相反。not a bit是“一点也不”的意思，和not at all意思相同；not a little的意思是“不是一点点”，和much意思相同：
I’m not a bit tired. (I’m not tired at all.) 我一点也不累。
I’m not a little tired. (I’m much tired.) 我很累了。（不是一点点累，是很累）
a bit通常修饰表示“令人不快”的形容词，例如sad, silly, cold, hungry, angry, difficult, heavy,
expensive等：
The song is a bit sad. 这首歌有点伤感。
You might say I’m a bit silly. 你可能会说我有点傻。
a little则无论褒贬都可以修饰：
Mary is a little older but a little more beautiful than Ann. 玛丽比安年纪更大但是更漂亮。
Everyone seemed a little nervous. 每个人看起来都有点紧张。
a bit后面不能直接接名词，接名词要用a bit of的结构；a little则可以直接修饰名词：
This will add a little fun to the game. 如果要用a bit来修饰fun，要用a bit of的结构：
This will add a bit of fun to the game. 这可以使这个游戏更有趣一点。
当a little修饰的名词前有the, this, that, 所有格等限定词时，也要用a little of的结构：

a bit 和a little不能用来修饰“形容词+名词”的结构。例如，heavy boxes这样的结构，就不能用a bit和a little修饰，不能说a bit heavy boxes；再比如hot weather，我们不可 以说a little hot weather.
a little bit的意思是“一点点”，用法与”a bit”相同：
This is a little bit too difficult for me. 这对我来说有点难。
Jack is a little bit selfish. 杰克有点自私。
I speak a little bit of French. 我讲一点法语。

for a bit的意思是 for a short time：
