Mission Statement
Frontiers in Microbiology publishes articles on outstanding discoveries across the entire spectrum of Microbiology. With its 21st century approach to publication, it encourages interdisciplinary studies and communicates progress in the field to both specialists and the broader public.
This journal has no chief editors.

As we are taking much better account of the unseen majority of life, unravel the biogeochemical processes that microbes facilitate, thereby making planet Earth habitable f as we increasingly identify the rules by which microorganisms interact with co-evolving viruses and macroorganisms i and as we find more and better strategies to mitigate the detrimental effects of anthropogenic activities on the abundance, diversity, distribution and activity of microbial communities, Frontiers in Microbiology will be the 21st century approach to communicate all this progress to both the specialist and a wider audience of readers in the field.

The specialty sections of Frontiers in Microbiology welcome submission of the following : Book Review, Correction, Editorial, General Commentary, Hypothesis & Theory, Methods, Mini Review, Opinion, Original Research, Perspective, Review, Specialty Grand Challenge, Technology Report, Protocols, Erratum, Case Report, Classification, Clinical Trial, Clinical Study Protocol and Community Case Study.
When submitting a manuscript to Frontiers in Microbiology, authors must submit the material directly to one of the specialty sections. Manuscripts are peer-reviewed by the Associate and Review Editors of the respective specialty section.
Articles published in the specialty sections above will benefit from the Frontiers impact and tiering system after online publication. Authors of published
with the highest impact, as judged democratically by the readers, will be invited by the Chief Editor to write a Frontiers
- a tier-climbing article. This is referred to as "". The author selection is based on article impact analytics of original research published in the Frontiers specialty journals and sections. Focused Reviews are centered on the original discovery, place it into a broader context, and aim to address the wider community across all of Microbiology.

准备投Hindawi旗下&journal of immunology research&要求将图片嵌入文档，请问哪位朋友晓得是嵌入文中，还是附在文档最后，因为大多杂志要求分开上传图片，所有不晓得人家到底什么意思另外，author guidelines 写的不甚详细，上传文章的排版格式要求等都没有说，这种情况该怎么办呢？ 他们集团的杂志的author guidelines 都是一样的，请投过Hindawi的朋友传授经验，谢谢

Hindawi集团的杂志，投稿要求没有像其他杂志一样写清楚，是不是对投稿格式要求不是很严格，把工作都丢给杂志编辑了呢？

这本杂志被SCI收录了么？如果没有的话还是建议直接投一个SCI吧。本人投过一次这个公司旗下的杂志，他们的杂志的投稿须知是比较模糊。我投稿的时候就是在文章的最后附上图和表格的。如果接收了会让你传原图的。不用担心。编辑很负责的。对于排版如果你不放心的话，可以去他们公司网站上下几篇in press 的文章看看格式。祝你好运~~~

就是每个图分开上传，然后每个图都是可以编辑的，eps 格式的图就可以。像JPG和TIF的图不可以编辑，最近还得给你打回来，这个杂志社虽然在投稿系统了的要求少，但是等到文章接收以后会要求你的图片格式，很繁琐。
