“by+交通方式名词单数”表示乘坐某种交通工具,名词前面通常不要任何修饰词。
Many students go to school by bus. 许多学生乘坐公共汽车上学。
The boy goes to work by bike. 这个男孩骑自行车上班。
I will go to Paris by train tomorrow. 明天我将坐火车去巴黎。
They go shopping by car. 他们开车去购物。
The students visit the island by boat. 学生们乘船参观这个岛。
3.take the subway 乘坐地铁
Tom takes the subway to the bookshop. 汤姆乘地铁去书店。

8.in one’s spare time 在空余时间(相当于in one’s free time)
I often watch TV or do shopping in my spare /free time.
空闲时间我经常看电视或者购物。

9.play basketball/football/soccer 打/踢足球/踢足球
play 后面接球类运动或者娱乐活动的名词时,名词的前面不要任何冠词。

I like playing basketball with my friends after school.
我喜欢放学后和朋友一起打篮球。
The boy plays ping-pong ball three times a week.

10.play the piano 弹钢琴
play后面接乐器类的名词时,名词的前面要加定冠词the。
play the violin/the guitar/the drum/the trumpet

1.How do you usually go to school? 你怎样去上学?
how通常用来询问交通方式。
回答是:I usually go to school by
bus/bike/subway/train/car/boat/sea.
对第三人称提问,应该是:
How does she/he/sb. go to school?
He/She usually goes to school by
bus/bike/subway/train/car/boat/sea.
2.How often do you go to the library? 你多久去图书馆一次?
(1)how often通常用来询问动作发生的频率,回答通常是表示频率的副词。
How often do you play the piano? 你多久弹钢琴一次?
Every day. 每天一次。
How often do you eat vegetables? 你多久吃一次蔬菜?
Twice a day. 一天两次。
How often does the girl go to see her parents?
这个女孩多久去看她父母一次?
Three times a week. 一个星期三次。
How often does the old woman play sports? Never.
这个老人多久做运动一次?他从来都不做运动。
(2)how long询问某一动作或者状态持续多久。回答通常是一段时间。
How long are you staying there? For a year.
你将在那里呆多久?一年。
How long did you do your homework last night? Two hours.
你昨天晚上做作业做了多久?两个小时。
(3)how soon 询问某一动作在将来什么时候发生,回答通常是一段时间。
How soon will your mother come back? In two days.
你的妈妈什么时候回来?两天后。
How soon will the boy leave Shanghai? In one year.
这个男孩什么时候离开上海?一年以后。
(4)how many 询问数量的多少,后面通常接可数名词的复数。
How many story books do you have? Two.
你有多少故事书?两本。
How many hours do you sleep every night? Eight.
你每天晚上睡觉几个小时?八个小时。
(5)how much 询问数量的多少,后面通常接不可数名词。还可以用来询问价钱的多少。
How much water is there in the bottle? A little.
这个瓶子里有多少水?一点。
How much milk do you drink in the morning? A bag.
你早上喝了多少牛奶?一袋。
How much is the dress? Two hundred yuan.
这件连衣裙多少钱?200元。
3.—Happy New Year!新年快乐!
—The same to you! 你也一样!
The same to…表示对某人也一样。通常用于回答节日的问候。
—Merry Christmas! 圣诞节快乐!

1.频率副词的用法。
(1)本单元出现的频率副词有:never, seldom, sometimes, often, usually, always,
once, twice…
频率副词通常回答how often 的提问。
How often do you go to the movie? Often.

How often does Lucy go back to America? Once a year.
露西多久回美国一次?一年一次。
How often does she watch TV? Three times a week.
她多久看一次电视?一个星期三次。

(2)频率副词通常放在行为动词的前面,be动词、助动词、情态动词的后面。
The boy never reads English in the morning.
这个男孩早上从来没有读英语。
The girl is always late for school.
这个女孩总是上学迟到。
I will usually play sports next year.
明年我将经常作运动。
They can often go dancing with friends in their free time.
他们在空余时间可以和朋友去跳舞。
(3)sometimes也可以放在句首。
Sometimes the students play computer games on weekends.
学生们有时候周末玩电脑游戏。
once, twice, three times… 通常放在句尾。
I go shopping once a week. 我一个星期购物一次。
They do homework three times a week. 他们一个星期做三次作业。
2. 有关交通方式的多种表达法。
表示交通方式我们可以用:
(1)by+交通方式的名词
(2)on/in+冠词+交通方式的名词
(3)take a/an/the+交通方式的名词
区别:介词词组by+交通方式的名词,on/in+冠词+交通方式的名词在句子中通常作状语,
所以他们通常放在动词的后面。动词词组take + a /an/the+交通方式的名词在句子中通常
作谓语。但是他们之间可以互相转换。
I go to school on foot. / I walk to school.
I go to school by bike. / I go to school on a bike. / I ride a
bike to school.
I go to school by bus. / I go to school on a bus. / I take a bus
to school.
I go to school by train. / I go to school on a train. / I take a
train to school.
I go to school by subway. / I go to school on a subway. / I take
a subway to school.
I go to work by car/taxi/boat. / I go to work in a
car/taxi/boat. / I take a car/taxi/boat to work. I drive to
I go to Beijing by plane/ airplane/air. / I go to Beijing on a
plane. / I take a plane to Beijng. /I fly to Beijing.
I go to school by ship/sea. / I go to school on a ship. / I take
