1、电容麦：顾名思义就是需要电源供电的麦克风。它分为两类，一种是手持话筒，如舞台演出和KTV里的话筒一样。这种采用电池供电的手持电容话筒，一般都是5号电池；另一种是录音话筒，如电台播音室和录音棚里长用的那种，需要48伏幻象电源供电。电容麦的特点是：清晰度和灵敏度高，音质饱满浑厚但不浑浊，缺点是灵敏度太高，不适合高噪音场所。
2、动圈麦：因为这种话筒声音信号的产生，主要是通过与振膜紧密相连的导线线圈根据声压变化在磁场中不断运动来完成的，无需直流工作电压，也就是不需要电源供电。它使用简便，噪声小。动圈麦的音质特点是浑厚、饱满、抗噪性强。缺点是音量小、人声闷，清晰度、灵敏度不够好。
以下情况下不宜选用电容麦：
1）非常业余级，唱歌水平不高，声音缺陷比较大，不能用电容麦。
2）家里隔音条件不好。
这种情况下，动圈麦灵敏度低，只录取咪头前面一点范围的声音，就很适合了。
3）你是优秀的男声，声音低沉，厚实，有磁性。这种情况下，也没必要用电容麦。当然了，在其他缺点都 不存在的情况下，仅效果而言，电容麦录低沉，厚实，有磁性的男声细节更丰富，自然。然而，相信我， 你多投入了五到十倍的钱，得到的效果却只有5%到。
