车辆超标故障现象：汽车排放的有害气体的量超过国家排放标准。排放不合格可能只有一种尾气超标，也可能两种或两种以上。
超标主要因素：
原因1：汽车尾气净化器（称：三元催化器）失效或损坏。
原因2：发动机燃油燃烧不充分(又分为两种现象1、混合气过浓2、混合气过稀)
超标解决方案：
1、三元催化器失效引起的超标，对三元催化器进行修复即可解决。
（修复费用副厂件的价格，享受原厂件的质量）
2、三元催化器损坏，只能更换新件。
（备注：更换新件时一定选择品牌件，使用耐久性长。副厂件使用耐久性差只有3000公里的使用寿命）

　　催化转换器(Catalytic Converter)，又叫催化净化器。该装置安在汽车的排气系统内，其作用是减少发动机排出的大部分废气污染物。三元催化转换器由一个金属外壳，一个网底架和一个催化层(含有铂、铑等贵重金属)组成，可除去HC(碳氢化合物)、CO(一氧化碳)和NOx(氮氧化合物)三种主要污染物质的90%(所谓三元是指除去这三种化合物时所发生的化学反应)。当废气经过净化器时，铂催化剂就会促使HC与CO氧化生成水蒸汽和二氧化碳；铑催化剂会促使NOx还原为氮气和氧气。这些氧化反应和还原反应只有在温度达到250℃时才开始进行。如果汽油或润滑油添加剂选用不当，使用了含铅的燃油添加剂或硫、磷、锌含量超标的机油添加剂，就会使磷、铅等物质覆盖于三元催化转换器的催化层表面，阻止废气中的有害成分与之接触而失去催化作用，这就是人们常说的三元催化器“中毒”。

尾气通过净化装置时，三元催化器中的净化剂将增强CO、HC和NOx三种气体的活性，促使其进行一定的氧化-还原化学反应，其中CO在高温下氧化成为五色、无毒的二氧化碳气体；HC化合物在高温下氧化成水(H20)和二氧化碳；NOx还原成氮气和氧气。三种有害气体变成无害气体，使汽车尾气得以净化。 由此我们可以知道三元的作用，如果三元（铂 钯 铑）表面被积碳掩盖故不能发挥它的作用啦，就别说她坏掉啦
