LightSwitch(TM) Synthetic Response Elements
LightSwitch(TM) Synthetic Response Element reporter constructs simplify the task of determining the effect that test compounds and/or conditions have on over 90 different transcription factors. Each synthRE vector contains an optimized synthetic response element, made up of repeats of a transcription factor binding site motif, cloned upstream of a minimal promoter and the RenSP luciferase gene in the Long-range Enhancer Reporter Vector, pLightSwitch_LR vector. As Synthetic Response Element vectors are supplied transfection-ready, you can begin your experiments immediately.
Similarly, for researchers studying post-transcriptional regulation events mediated by miRNA-3?UTR interactions, we offer a large collection of optimized, synthetic.
IMPORTANT:
Because all LightSwitch reporter constructs contain the optimized RenSP luciferase gene, you MUST use our
to obtain optimal results. (Other luciferase assay reagents are not compatible with RenSP.)
This product is for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Applications of Synthetic Response Elements:
Use as a primary screen to identify compounds or conditions that affect the activity of a biological pathway. Follow up using related endogenous promoter reporter constructs to detect subtle differences between compounds or conditions.
Generate dose response curves to various compounds or conditions.
Use as a positive control in your pathway-specific, cell-based assays.
Lyophilized proteins can be stored at -20°C or -80°C, preferably desiccated. Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
