if you want me
Marketa Irglova
Are you really here
or am i dreaming??
I can't tell dream from truth
For it's been so long
Since i have seen you
I can hardly remember your face anymore
When i get pretty lonely
And the distance causes only silence
I think of you smiling
With pride in your eyes
Lover that sighs
If you want me
Satisfy me
If you want me
Satisfy me
Are you really sure that you believe me
When others say i lie??
I wonder if you could ever despise me
When you know i really tried
To be a better one
To satisfy you
For you're everything to me
And I'll do what you ask me
If you let me be free
If you want me
Satisfy me
If you want me
Satisfy me
If you want me
就满足这个愿望吧......5添加评论分享收藏感谢收起171 条评论分享收藏感谢收起<meta name="Description" content="ESL: English as a Second Language by Dr. Ron C Lee is a large free Web English-learning resource with thousands of conversations and essays, audio and exercises for improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing.">

former Cambridge students Ed Moyse and Ross Harper are painting different company logos
on to their faces.&Anyone can buy the advertising space, from businesses to individuals or groups,
on a day-to-day basis. The logos -- which can be viewed at

said they are “armed only with massive student debt and a firm grasp of the principles
of viral advertising” as they attempt to survive for a year merely on income earned by
transforming themselves into walking advertisements.&Mr. Harper, 21, from Greenwich, south London, who studied neuroscience, said,
“It\'s our untraditional way of paying off our student debt. The graduate job market is
incredibly unfriendly, and so we thought we’d try and go through it altogether. We\'ve
seen so many students unsuccessfully applying for jobs, only to eventually settle in a
career that they never really wanted. It\'s just something a bit different and has taken
off quite nicely.”& Mr. Moyse, 22, from Poole, Dorset, said, “It is well beyond our expectations,
but we always knew it had value and is novel and crazy.”&“So far, one of the main contributors has been online betting agency, Paddy
Power, ”Mr. Harper said.&Mr. Moyse, who studied economics, and Mr. Harper came up with the idea after

( C )&With the emergence of the technological age, it has become increasingly
difficult to be a knowledgeable person: There is just too much information to know
something about everything. So what should an educated person be in the twenty-first
century? It isn’t always clear whether one should try to become a specialist or a
generalist in today’s world. &In the 1960s, most American colleges and universities offered a generalist
approach to education. In response to student protests, universities began offering
many innovative courses, such as Asian Studies and African Studies. Students began
“doing their own thing,” taking courses in just about every subject imaginable. But
as university students began to focus on more and more of these less common subject
areas, critics began to air their opinions. They believed that much of education had
become useless. Employers also began to make comment about the quality of college
graduates, saying that as jacks-of-all-trades, they could “function” in most areas of
life but might never “expert” in any. As a result, the college degree of the 1960s
was looked down on by many.& &From the 1970s through the 1990s, with new technologies creating new job
opportunities, an emphasis on specialization appeared in American education. More
vocational courses were offered in colleges and universities, especially as computer-
programming jobs became available. Many more business schools were established,
allowing more and more graduates to enter fields that offered specialized jobs with
high salaries, such as investment banking and stock trading. But with the media
coverage of the crimes committed by insider-information spreader on Wall Street, even
the reputation of the MBA degree was soiled. The more narrowly focused approach to
professional education also seemed to fail.&&&&&&&&&& One of the puzzles of the twenty
-first century is whether to approach modern education in terms of the generalist or
the specialist. Some universities require all students to take common courses from a
broad range of subjects, appealing to the generalist approach to education. Yet
choosing the core courses in light of today’s explosion in information and
multicultural student populations has not been an easy task. How does one select what
it is that everyone should know? Other universities continue to tailor their courses to
the more immediate professional needs of their students, appealing to the specialist
approach to education. But without a core curriculum(核心课程), students often lack
the shared knowledge necessary to participate effectively in an integrated(综合的)
72.&In the 1960s, the college degree was viewed as nonsense because ______. &A. students did their own things without care about reality&B. too general an approach failed to meet social expectations&C. some innovative courses focused on too neglected subjects &D. the generalist approach was adopted in most US universities 73.&The crime on the Wall Street is mentioned in the passage in order to prove
______.&A. specialists with high salaries took risks&& &B. the MBA degree was not worthy of its name& &C. specialist approach to education was far from perfect&& &D. jobs like computer-programming were more practicable 74.&The author’s attitude toward the college education in the 21st century is
______.&A. positive& &&B. negative& &&C. neutral& &&D.
ironic(讽刺的) 75.&What might be the best title for this passage?A. History of College Educational Approaches B. College Preparatory Education for the
Changing World C. Generalization or Specialization, A Hard Choice for Universities D.
Difference Between Generalist Education and Specialist Education &Section CDirections: Read the following text and choose the most suitable heading from the list
A - F for each paragraph. There is one extra heading which you do not need.Time travel experiences in historyScientific possibility of time travelAn experiment on Einstein’s theoryPossibility in building a time machineProblems brought about by time travel Einstein’s theory of relativity concerning time&Time Machine76. &You cannot change the laws of physics, but could physics actually enable us to
travel through time? It might sound crazy, but according to Einstein’s theories, there
’s no logical reason why time travel isn’t possible and there are now scientists
looking into it as a serious scientific proposal, at least at a theoretical level.77. &Put simply, Einstein’s idea was that every object in the universe has its own
“time”, and these vary as objects move. The faster an object moves, the slower its
time is, compared to the time of a slower moving object. The extreme situation would be
if an object could move as fast as the speed of light, its time would be completely
stopped. But whatever an object’ --- or person’s --- time is, it’s only evident in
contrast to other objects. In other words, they’re all relative.78. &In 1971, after Einstein’s death, two scientists were able to carry out a
crucial experiment. They used two atomic clocks, synchronized them and placed one on a
plane, while the other stayed in the same location on Earth. The plane then flew around
the world for 80 hours. According to Einstein’s theory, the clock on the plane would
be expected to have lost time, due to being in motion over 80 hours compared to the
clock on the ground. When they brought the clocks together and made a comparison, the
clock on the plane was indeed a few nanoseconds slower than the other clock. 79. &So, time is warped --- and this opens up the possibility that we might be able
to somehow manipulate it as a mode of travel one day. Already one scientist has
published a paper in which he detailed how to build a time machine.80. &If it were possible, however, it would present some pretty knotty paradoxes.
For example, what if someone or something traveled back in time and changed the future?
And have you heard the one about the time traveler who dots back and forward in time
and by means of various medical technologies is able to be his own father AND mother?!
And besides, if time travel is possible, where are all the people from the future----
surely they’d want to come and meet us poor stranded 21st century beings?
Section DDirections: Read the passage carefully. Then answer the questions or complete the
statements in the fewest possible words.&Many expensive nutrition additives advertised on TV say they can improve your
memory, but only ordinary food and health habits have been shown to work.&A research team from UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles) has
designed a four-step plan to improve your memory in just 14 days. “It sounds like
another advertisement, but it really works,” says UCLA professor Gary Small.&The team found the four-step plan improved memory function in teenagers under
stress and older people. After a two-week study that included crossword puzzles,
exercise and diet changes, test subjects’ memories worked more efficiently.&Here’s the program:Memory training: Train yourself with brain-teaser, crossword puzzles and memory
exercises that train verbal skills throughout the day.Healthy diet: Eat five rather than three meals a day. The food should be rich in omega
-3 fats, such as whole grains and vegetables that contain antioxidants(抗氧化剂).
Having frequent meals helps increase blood glucose (血糖), the primary energy source
for the brain.Physical fitness: Have regular physical exercise such as walking, basketball or
running, every day.Stress reduction: Perform stretching and relaxation exercises. Stress causes the body
to release a chemical that can shrink the memory centers in the brain.&Before-and-after brain scans showed that test subjects experienced on the
average a 5 per cent increase in working memory. This suggests they were using their
brains more efficiently.&A control group that didn’t follow the plan showed no
big changes.&“We’ve known for years that diet and exercise can help people keep their
physical health, which is a key part of healthy aging,” said Small. “But keeping
mental health is just as important. Now we have evidence that people can improve their
memories through a program of memory exercises and stress reduction.” (Note: Answer the questions or complete the statements in NO MORE THAN TEN WORDS.)81.& __________ are more likely to be influenced by the 14-day program.82.&What is “healthy diet” according to the passage?83.&When you are under high pressure, how does your body react?84.&Besides diet and exercise, __________ are also vital for memory improvement.

questions on each of the passages. The passages will be read twice, but the questions
will be spoken only once. When you hear a question, read the four possible answers on
your paper and decide which one would be the best answer to the question you have
Questions 11 through 13 are based on the following passage.
&Well, hello everyone, and welcome to our show today. &Today I\'d like to share with you my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. Now,
before you switch the TV channel, I know what you are thinking. "Another fattening
cookie recipe." But wait. What makes this recipe great is that it offers a wonderful
low-fat, low-calorie, low-cholesterol dessert for the entire family. &Let’s see. We have all the ingredients here, so we can start by mixing all of
the ingredients, the sugars, the flour, the egg whites, the low-fat butter, vanilla,
baking soda, and a pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl. Then, we add the mini
chocolate chips. And don\'t forget to preheat the oven to 350 degrees (Fahrenheit). And
finally, when the cookies are done, take them out of the oven, remove them from the
cookie sheet, and let them cool before the kids’ fingers get into them. &And unfortunately, by the time your kids get the cookies, you, the cook, will
be left with a single cookie - your instant diet plan for you - and a dirty kitchen. &So, that’s all for today. On next week\'s show, we will be showing you how to
feed hungry teenagers on a budget without having to sell the family car. See you next
11.What is special about the chef’s cookies?12.Which ingredient does the chef NOT use to make his cookies?13.What is the topic of the next cooking program?
Questions 14 through 16 are based on the following passage.
&My name\'s Randall Davis, and I\'m originally from the state of Indiana in the
United States. When I was 19 years old, I moved to Venezuela in South America, and
later returned to the United States, where I attended Brigham Young University in the
1980s. I majored in Spanish education and TESOL, or teaching English as a second
language. After graduating from college, my wife and I moved to Japan where we lived
for eight years. Now, I work back in the States in Utah.&My greatest interests are my family. My kids wouldn\'t remember me for the work
I did they would only recall the moments we spent together.
Therefore, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have four children, and we go hiking
and camping together. On our hikes, we often talk about life, and I tell stories or
share personal experiences. When I do this, I can focus on the kids without the
distractions of video games or the Internet. Telling stories sounds easy, but when you
have to think of a new story on a hot, 12-kilometer hike through the desert, you have
come up with ideas off the top of your head. &Now, this doesn\'t mean we don\' all families face challenges in
their lives, and our family is no exception. However, we try to talk openly about our
problems, and we try to solve our problems together. Building a strong family takes
time, but it is worth the effort.14.Besides TESOL, what was Randall’s another undergraduate major?15.What does Randall do on his hikes with his children?16.What point does Randall make about raising children?

over later in &the evening, and we can make some popcorn and watch a movie. W: &Oh, that\'d be great, but our video machine is broken. M: &Huh. Well, let\'s just play a game or something. W: &Sounds good, but give me a call before you come. My mom might try to come up
