Straight Men Are A Lot More Bisexual Than You Might Think / Queerty
Queerty is better as a member
TRUE CONFESSIONS
data on the top porn searches broken down by gender. The survey found “gay male porn” as the second highest searched topic by straight women. This begs the question: What about straight dudes? How many of them are also looking at man-on-man porn? And what might be their motivations for doing so?
Being the curious gays that we are, we decided to dig a little deeper, scouring the internet for clues. And what we discovered is, well, surprising. Apparently it’s not just the ladies who prefer two dicks in their porn. Self-professed straight men enjoy it, too.
We recently reported on , both as givers and receivers. Anilingus is a behavior that has, historically, been attributed to gay men. So where did these straight guys get the idea to have their own butts eaten? And where did they learn the skills and strategies involved in performing a rim job? The obvious answer: Gay porn.
In our research, we learned that straight men don’t just watch gay porn for sex tips. They also watch it to get off. Now, we weren’t born yesterday. Anyone can say they’re heterosexual, and plenty of gay guys on our favorite hookup sites pretend to “Str8” and “just looking for a quickie while the GF is outta town.” But hold your preconceived notions for just one moment. Isn’t it possible there are more gray areas in human sexuality than anyone really knows, or is at least willing to admit? And isn’t looking at porn in the privacy of one’s own home the safest place to explore one’s curiosities?
So stay with us here as we take a peek at what guys are saying online…
In a forum titled “” on the totally reliable internet discussion website Topix, heterosexual “Mikey” from Trenton, NJ confesses:
so i have a gf of almost 3 years and recently started to jack off to gay porn, i dont know wht it is about it but it kinda turns me on, i was just wondering if anybody else is in the same boat as me. would love to hear from you!!
“Whoknew” from Georgiana, AL responds:
Well mikey, i have to go with you on this one. I would never want to engage in gay sex, but watching it somehow makes me hard as a rock. I have only watched a movie once, but I read stories on the net some. Matter of fact i am hard now just thinking about it.
Very interesting.
exists on the website Jackinworld, which claims to be the world’s “ultimate male masturbation resource.” On it, one commenter writes:
I’m straight, but i do watch gay porn and guys masturbating. I thought that was weird until i looked at the other reviews. Good to know a lot of guys do that.
Another adds:
Thank goodness i am not the only one. Im Straight but watch gay porn. I love girls, but gay just turns me on from time to time.
Then there’s this little gem:
im str8 but ive masturbated with my friends and one time one of my friends and i started oral, then it lead to anal. ive wanted to try again because it felt so good but im afraid to bring it up again. so i masturbate and think about it insted.
Hold up. Did a man who identifies as heterosexual just admit to engaging in x-rated behavior with his straight male friends? Maybe there is a god after all.
Thanks to a reader tip, we looked up heterosexual men who say they’ve either experimented with or thought about experimenting with other guys.
In another Topix forum titled , JJ22X from Glasgow makes a shocking disclosure:
I don’t know why. I consider myself straight, I’ve always been attracted to women, I’ve had sex with women and it’s all good … But when I’m horny I sometimes have this fantasy of while laying down on my back and having a gorgeous girl ride my dick, a man to stand over me with his big cock and I can really imagine myself saying give it to me. Being pinned down and sucking away I wouldn’t be able to say no. Even writing this I have a hard on lol.
The poetry continues:
Not just that, I wonder what it would be like to be fucked, just to have a big warm penis sliding inside of me taking advantage of me, sometimes I even picture myself jerking off slowly with a sexy girl to the left, and having a guy with a juicy cock to the right, and having to choose which one I want.
But JJ22X isn’t the only one who seems to feel this way. The thread has more than 1,200 responses from other allegedly heterosexual men claiming they, too, grapple with the desire to suck on a big warm wiener.
Collegeguy from Dublin admits:
Im not attracted to guys but get really horny thinking about giving a guy a bj…would like to try it to a friend sometime to be honest
Logan from Cardiff says:
to be honest ive giving head lots now and i know im not bi or gay i love girls but love sucking big cock
JJp from Toronto chimes in:
im straight but my biggest fantasy is trying that. i have never done this – too scared but if discreet i want to try with proper guidance
JJp, if you’re reading, here’s a little guidance for you: Just put it in your mouth.
Countless other forums in which allegedly straight men share their deepest, darkest gay fantasies exist all over the internet — like , or
(We’ve got to hand it to these guys for being so straight-forwarded (pun intended!) with their subject lines.)
Of course, we don’t doubt for a second that many, if not most, of these so-called heterosexuals are really just horny gay teenagers in the Midwest who are up way past their bedtimes hoping to get their rocks off by posing as bi-curious men in internet chat rooms. But
by Chris Rockwell called “Head Case: A straight mans’ [sic] penchant for the male organ,” published on the blog Nerve seems pretty legit, despite the glaring grammatical error in the essay’s title.
Rockwell establishes right off that bat that he identifies as straight. Or at least “not gay.”
“Let’s establish something up front,” he begins. “I’m not gay.”
But, he admits, “the only thing that mars my practically unblemished record as a straight man is my undeniable — at times, overwhelming — desire to suck a cock.”
He then spends the next 12 paragraphs rambling about his lifelong obsession with the idea of performing fellatio on another male.
“Occasionally I’ll fantasize about watching straight porn with a guy before jerking off together and emulating the acts on the screen,” he writes. “Or lining up a varsity swim team and making like a circus seal. Put simply, I think penises are awesome.”
Rockwell concludes the essay by saying he’s not bisexual. Having sex with both men and women, he feels, would be too “exhausting.”
“I just want to try deep-throating,” he writes. “Consider me try-sexual.”
So there you have it, folks. Direct from the hetero guy’s mouth. Straight guys might be more bisexual than you think.
The trick now is getting them off the internet and into our bedrooms.

Copyright 2016 Queerty, Inc.PS4 Destiny graphics look superior to Xbox One version, but barely
on July 25, 2014 at 4:11 pm
A few days ago, the Destiny beta finally made its way to the Xbox One
and Xbox 360. It launched on the PS4
and PS3 earlier in the month, but now we can get a good look at the beta running on both of the current generation consoles. It’s no surprise that the last-gen versions are noticeably uglier, but how does the 900p Xbox One version stack up to the beta running at 1080p on the PS4?The folks over at Eurogamer have
from both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the beta, and the results are surprisingly positive. While the lower resolution is definitely noticeable on the Xbox One, everything else looks pretty much exactly the same as the PS4 version. Both versions are locked at 30fps, and the shaders and effects are basically identical. When you consider that Bungie is promising that the , it seems that the finished product will be nearly indistinguishable on the current-gen machines.
We’ll have to wait until September to see if Bungie can deliver on its promise of
on both platforms, but does it really matter one way or the other? I’ve played the demo at 1080p on my TV, at 540p on the PlayStation Vita, and at
with the PS3 version. Truth be told, it’s completely playable regardless of the total number of pixels on display. It’s definitely a lot prettier at 1080p, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference in terms of gameplay. Personally, using the Dualshock 3 on the PS3 (as opposed to the DualShock 4 on the PS4) felt like a much bigger issue than the drop in the total number of pixels on screen.
As you can see in the comparison above, the difference between 900p and 1080p in Destiny is noticeable, but ultimately a minor detail. The
beta is undoubtedly the superior version, but only slightly. Unless you’re going back and forth between the PS4 and , you probably won’t even notice the difference. Xbox fans can rest easy knowing that the game is going to look gorgeous regardless of the platform. Most assuredly, forum denizens will complain even if both versions are identical. They’ll complain that the graphical parity is proof that the PS4 version was “downgraded” to prop up the underpowered Xbox One. Don’t listen to any of that noise, though. I’ve spent hours playing the game on the PS4, and it looks beautiful from tip to tail. If that’s what a “downgraded” game is supposed to look like in 2014, you can nominate me for president of the “downgrade” fan club.

"When I look back on my childhood I wonder how I survived at
all. It was, of course, a miserable childhood. The happy childhood
is hardly worth your while. "Worse than the ordinary miserable
childhood is the miserable Irish childhood. And worse yet is the
miserable Irish Catholic childhood." That was Frank McCourt reading
the opening lines of his book Angela's Ashes, released in 1996.
This Irish American author best known for the Pulitzer
Prize-winning autobiography Angela's Ashes that recorded his poor
upbringing, died of cancer on Sunday, The New York Times
reported. He was 78.
Born in New York City, he was the eldest of the seven children
born to Irish immigrant parents. Angela's Ashes was a
memoir(回忆录)that captured an irresponsible, drunkard(酒鬼)father with
a gift for story-telling. When not drunk, his father was absent,
turning his back on a family so poor, McCourt wrote, that they were
reduced to burning the furniture in their rented hut to keep warm.
His mother struggled to raise her many children after his father
left the family.
In Angela's Ashes, he wrote of hunger, a home flooded with
rainwater and the unbearable humiliation(耻辱)of seeking handouts
from charities in the Irish city. But he told the story in a way
that is expressive, warm and light-hearted.
Frank McCourt left Ireland at the age of 19 to return to New
York City where he was born. He earned a degree in English
education and taught creative writing for nearly thirty years.
After retiring in 1987, he decided to write about his childhood.
"Angela's Ashes" became a huge success and brought McCourt a 1997
Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award and other
honors. Millions of copies of the book were sold worldwide and it

People around the world drink about 180 billion liters of soda a
year. That translates to more than 29 liters per person. Experts
say the amount of carbonated soft drinks we consume(消费) is growing.
New research from the American Heart Association finds that
drinking soda, even diet soda, may significantly increase your risk
for heart disease. Dr. Ramachandran Vasan led the study. "Drinking
just one or more sodas a day may not be as innocuous as
people think."
In a large study of 9,000 people, doctors discovered that those
who drank one or more sodas a day had a 30% increased risk for
obesity(肥胖), a 25% increase in the risk for abnormal(非正常的) blood
sugar levels, and a 32% increase in the odds of having low levels
of good cholesterol(胆固醇).
All of these factors increase the risk for heart disease. And
there was no difference in the results for those who drank diet
soda over regular soda. It’s something that surprised even the
researchers.
Critics of the study say diet soda may not be the cause of
increased risk of heart disease. Connie Diekman is president of the
American Dietetic Association. "It does not conclusively say that
this will cause that."
In other words, it could be that unhealthy people like soda. Dr.
Vasan found those who drink soda generally tend to have greater
caloric intake. They eat more saturated fat and trans fats. They
also eat less fiber and exercise less. Diet soda drinkers may also
share this unhealthy lifestyle. Dr. Vasan agrees that the link he
found between heart disease risk and diet soda needs additional
64. What does the underlined word “innocuous” in the first
paragraph probably mean?
A. popular. B. harmless. C. effective. D. risky.
65. According to the study, which of the following is true?
A. Only people who overdrink sodas have high risk for heart
B. In the study, about one quarter of people have high blood
C. Both regular and diet sodas can probably increase the risk
for heart disease.
D. Dr. Vasan is the leader of the American Heart
Association.
66. What can be inferred from the passage above?
A. All the experts agree with the results of the study.
B. Sodas of any kind are certain to increase the risk for heart
C. People have expected the results of the research.
D. More studies are needed to prove the results.
67. How does the writer present the passage?
A. By comparing opinions. B. By giving advice.
C. By showing facts. D. By discussing information.
A farm planted levels or floors is called a vertical(垂直的)farm. A
skyscraper type building can house a vertical farm. Since the
garden is built upwards, rather than outwards,it requires much less
space than a conventional farm.
The world is quickly running out of room for conventional
farming. Vertical farms could be a key to this situation. An
18&story vertical farm could feed as many as 50,000
people, all in an area which is the size of the average city block.
Vertical farms in the city could cut down on transportation costs
as well. Think about the amount of fuel it takes to transport food
from farmland to city. The resources saved would be surprising.
Besides saving travel time, food would be delivered in fresher
condition and with less damage.
There is a growing concern about the use of pesticides(杀虫剂) in
agriculture today. But the vertical farm would be a greenhouse type
environment, avoiding the need for a large number of pesticides.
Vertical farms can be built in a contained space, therefore they are
an excellent solution for living well in an environment far
different from our own. Hydroponics(水耕法) could be a big part of
vertical gardening. This would reduce the amount of soil needed to
grow food. Of course, not all food does well with this type of
planting, but there are many crops that actually seem to do
In some climates,a lack of sunlight creates a short growing
season. The solar power option may not work as well here. The
addition of grow lights would make it possible to grow crops in
vertical gardens in these areas .In other words,we could grow crops
in areas where we never could before.
Vertical farms may just be a concept for now,but they are a
concept that will solve many of our problems in the future.
68. According to the passage, a vertical farm ________.

The National Park Service in the United States will mark its one
hundredth anniversary in 2016. As it nears its second century, the
Park Service plans to increase its educational programs for
students and teachers.
The plans include transportation support for one hundred
thousand students each year to visit national parks to learn about
nature and history. Yellowstone is believed to have been the
world's first national park when it was established in 1872. Other
students will get a chance to see parks in faraway places through
Skype and other online programs.
The National Park Service also works with partners to provide
education. One of its partners is a nonprofit organization called
NatureBridge. NatureBridge is celebrating its fortieth anniversary
and says one million young people have taken part in its programs.
The organization works with students from kindergarten through
twelfth grade and uses national parks as its classrooms. It
provides field science programs at Yosemite National Park and four
other locations in California and the northwestern state of
Washington.
Now, NatureBridge is launching an East Coast center with a
four-million-dollar grant from Google. The program will begin in
April at the Prince William Forest Park in Virginia. Students stay
for three to five days in NatureBridge programs. The activities are
aimed at developing their science skills. For example, they learn
about different soils and study water quality under a
microscope.
Jason Morris is executive vice president of NatureBridge. He
says when they are not sleeping, eating or in a laboratory, the
students spend their time outdoors. Julia Washburn is associate
director of education and interpretation for the National Park
Service. She says in a time of budget cuts, the agency has to find
ways to still meet its goals. Ms. Washburn says one of the most
important services that the Park Service provides every day is
nature interpretation. Park rangers (公园管理员) try to make visiting
the outdoors more meaningful. Interpretation is a form of informal
education. Essentially, it is a word that we use for the people in
parks that explain the park or help orient(确定方向)you. So park
rangers are interpreters. They orient you to the place you are in
and help you make connections, emotional and intellectual
connections, with the place.

In the winter of 1964, the Beatles, a British musical, packed up
their electric guitars, drum kits, and rebellious ways and set off
for America.
Two days later, more than seventy million people watched the
group perform four of their hit songs on the Ed Sullivan Show. This
was sixty percent of the American television audience. Here the
Beatles sing one of those songs, "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
The Beatles soon had the top five hit songs on the Billboard
singles chart. Millions of fans became infected with Beatlemania.
They rushed to stores to buy Beatles albums, wigs, clothes, dolls
and lunch boxes.
The Beatles recorded more than twenty number one hits in
America. A Beatles song was almost always at the top of the charts
until the group's next hit replaced it. They played to more than
fifty thousand fans at large sports stadiums. And they filmed
several movies that made millions of dollars.
The Beatles were influenced by American singers including Chuck
Berry, Buddy Holly and Little Richard. Yet the group's music
sounded completely new and different. The Beatles wrote more than
two hundred songs that revolutionized American popular music.
In addition, young people saw the Beatles as spokesmen for their
generation. They copied the band members' long hair and
free-spirited ways. The band became so popular that in 1966 John
Lennon said they were more popular than Jesus Christ.
Soon other musicians began writing their own music the way John
Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote the Beatles songs.
Many other British groups followed the Beatles to America. This
was known as the "British Invasion." They included the Dave Clark
Five, the Kinks and the Rolling Stones.
The Rolling Stones called themselves the "World's Greatest Rock
and Roll Band." The Stones first performed across America in 1964.

书面表达:
Recently we had a class meeting on the topic of My “China
Dream”. Inspired by President Xi’s China Dream, everyone talked
enthusiastically about his understanding of China Dream. We all
believe that this dream will come true in the future.
I also talked about my own dream. I have always wanted to be a
doctor. Not only can doctors save people’s lives but also they are
doing a respectable job. Doctors can also help people to live a
better life with their professional knowledge.
To realize my dream, I must try to work hard from now on. I must
learn as much as I can so that I can get into a good medical
college, where I can prepare myself adequately for the job of a
doctor. Only in this way can I accomplish my goal.

W: I’d love to.
W: Excuse me. Are you Mr. Atkins?
M: Yes. You don’t know me, of course. I don’t teach here. I just
give oral examinations here now and then. Don’t be nervous.
W: Nervous? Who? Me?
M: Now, sit down, please. I’m going to ask you a few questions.
Then we’re going to have a short conversation in English. Do you
understand?
W: Yes, of course I do. But may I ask you something first?
M: After the examination, please. Just concentrate on my

W: Why am I learning English?
M: Yes. I mean, what are you going to do with it? Are you going
to be a teacher of English or what?
W: Please stop just a second. I really must ask you something
M: Very well, if you insist.
W: Would you like a cup of coffee?
M: Pardon? What did you say?

M: Thanks.
W: What food would you prefer for today, sir? We have fresh
seafood tonight.
M: No. We like to eat vegetables.
W: Welcome to the program. This afternoon I’m standing in the
middle of the northern Black Forest, with Rainer Sanger.
M: Good afternoon, Sarah.
W: Rainer, you’re very concerned about this area of the forest,
are you? Can you tell us why?
M: Well, much of the forest was wiped out in the terrible storm
last winter, as you can see. Many of the trees are dead, and more
are dying because of the damage. We believe that the government
isn’t doing enough right now to make this beautiful forest get into
its former state.
W: I see. But have you spoken to the government about this?
M: We have tried, but each time they say that they haven’t got
enough money. They are always using money as the excuse. It’s
getting really disappointing!
W: But it’s not just an excuse, is it? They clearly don’t have
enough money for everything and the storm was an unexpected
occurrence.
M: Of course, we appreciate that, and the point is that actually
we aren’t asking for much money. We would just like their
guidance--we can provide volunteers to work on the forest.
The society today is much freer and easier than it used to be.
It is no longer necessary to dress like everyone else. Within
reason, you can dress as you like or do your hair the way you like
instead of the way you should because it is the fashion. The
popularity of jeans and untidy look seem to be reaction against the
increasingly expensive fashions of the top fashion houses.
But, in my opinion, appearance is more and more important and we
must choose our clothes carefully. It is some kind of stupid to go
on a job interview in the civil service wearing jeans and a
sweater, and it would be impolite to visit the elderly persons
dressing up as if we were going to the beach or a bar and some
places like that.
However, you don’t need to feel sad if you don’t look like the
latest fashion photo. Look around you and you will see that no one
else does either!
